Losing employer insurance, where should I look? - what worked for you?

My family's coverage ended with the layoff and we have a prescription we cannot skip. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I do not want a gap in coverage. How fast did coverage start?

Call your pharmacy too. Mine knew of a discount card that helped while coverage was being sorted out.

Compare the monthly price with the deductible. A cheap plan with a huge deductible can cost more if you need care.
