Losing employer insurance, where should I look? (update)

I have 7 weeks left on my current insurance and I am comparing options. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I do not want a gap in coverage. How fast did coverage start?

Call your pharmacy too. Mine knew of a discount card that helped while coverage was being sorted out.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
