Losing employer insurance, where should I look?, IT help-desk technician here

I have 4 weeks left on my current insurance and I am comparing options. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I do not want a gap in coverage. What did you choose and how was the process?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
