Losing employer insurance, where should I look? after 15 years as a welding apprentice

My employer coverage ended at the end of the month and I am trying to work out what to do as a welding apprentice. I am in Austin, in case local advice matters. I think my income this year might qualify for a subsidy. What did you choose and how was the process?

Compare the monthly price with the deductible. A cheap plan with a huge deductible can cost more if you need care.
