Losing employer insurance, where should I look?

My family's coverage ended with the layoff and we have a prescription we cannot skip. There are 10 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. The COBRA notice arrived with a very high price.

Call your pharmacy too. Mine knew of a discount card that helped while coverage was being sorted out.

Compare the monthly price with the deductible. A cheap plan with a huge deductible can cost more if you need care.
