Is COBRA worth it after a layoff?, social media manager here

I was offered COBRA and the monthly cost is more than I expected as a social media manager. This is my first time dealing with any of this. My spouse has a chronic condition, so dropping coverage feels risky. Did anyone switch mid-year?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
