Is COBRA worth it after a layoff?, electrician's helper here

I was offered COBRA and the monthly cost is more than I expected as an electrician's helper. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I saw that marketplace plans might cost less. Did anyone switch mid-year?

Check what the notice says about the election period and when coverage starts. Mine allowed a short window to choose.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
