Is COBRA worth it after a layoff? (Austin)

The COBRA quote for my family is $700 a month and I do not know how to afford it. Thank you in advance. My old employer will not help with the premium. How did you decide?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
