Is COBRA worth it after a layoff? after 12 years as an insurance claims processor

I was offered COBRA and the monthly cost is more than I expected as an insurance claims processor. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I saw that marketplace plans might cost less. Did anyone switch mid-year?

If you have a planned treatment, COBRA can make sense for a few months. Otherwise look at the marketplace first.
