Is COBRA worth it after a layoff? - 5 months and counting

I just got my COBRA paperwork and the deadline to decide is close. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. My spouse has a chronic condition, so dropping coverage feels risky. Is the decision time really that tight?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

I priced both side by side: total yearly cost, doctors in network and the deductible. Marketplace was cheaper for us, but only because our doctors were covered.
