Is COBRA worth it after a layoff? - 3 months and counting

The COBRA quote for my family is $650 a month and I do not know how to afford it. This is my first time dealing with any of this. My old employer will not help with the premium. How did you decide?

Check what the notice says about the election period and when coverage starts. Mine allowed a short window to choose.

If you have a planned treatment, COBRA can make sense for a few months. Otherwise look at the marketplace first.
