ID verification problems, anyone solved this? after 10 years as a data-entry clerk

I do not have a current driver's licence and they want one. There are 10 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. The in-person office has long lines. Do I need an appointment?

What worked for me was going to the local workforce centre, where staff helped with the verification. It took about an hour.
