ID verification problems, anyone solved this? - 11 months and counting

I do not have a current driver's licence and they want one. It has been a long 5 weeks. I tried the online option twice and the app crashed. Do I need an appointment?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 11 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
