Health insurance gap after a layoff - what worked for you?

I have 17 weeks left on my current insurance and I am comparing options. I do not usually post, so bear with me. The COBRA notice arrived with a very high price. Is there help filling out the forms?

Compare the monthly price with the deductible. A cheap plan with a huge deductible can cost more if you need care.

Call your pharmacy too. Mine knew of a discount card that helped while coverage was being sorted out.
