Health insurance gap after a layoff (update)

My family's coverage ended with the layoff and we have a prescription we cannot skip. There are 11 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I think my income this year might qualify for a subsidy. How fast did coverage start?

Call your pharmacy too. Mine knew of a discount card that helped while coverage was being sorted out.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
