Health insurance gap after a layoff (Kansas City)

My employer coverage ended at the end of the month and I am trying to work out what to do as a mechanic. It has been a long 15 weeks. I do not want a gap in coverage. Is there help filling out the forms?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
