Health insurance gap after a layoff - any advice?

I have 10 weeks left on my current insurance and I am comparing options. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I do not want a gap in coverage. What did you choose and how was the process?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
