Health insurance gap after a layoff - 6 months and counting

My employer coverage ended at the end of the month and I am trying to work out what to do as a home health aide. There are 15 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I think my income this year might qualify for a subsidy. How fast did coverage start?

Call your pharmacy too. Mine knew of a discount card that helped while coverage was being sorted out.
