Health insurance gap after a layoff - 6 months and counting

My employer coverage ended at the end of the month and I am trying to work out what to do as a web developer. There are 3 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I do not want a gap in coverage.

Call your pharmacy too. Mine knew of a discount card that helped while coverage was being sorted out.

Compare the monthly price with the deductible. A cheap plan with a huge deductible can cost more if you need care.
