Health insurance gap after a layoff

My family's coverage ended with the layoff and we have a prescription we cannot skip. I am in Raleigh, in case local advice matters. I think my income this year might qualify for a subsidy. What did you choose and how was the process?

Call your pharmacy too. Mine knew of a discount card that helped while coverage was being sorted out.
