Health coverage after losing my job: marketplace or Medicaid? - what worked for you?

My employer coverage ended at the end of the month and I am trying to work out what to do as a retail manager. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I do not want a gap in coverage. How fast did coverage start?

Call your pharmacy too. Mine knew of a discount card that helped while coverage was being sorted out.
