Health coverage after losing my job: marketplace or Medicaid? - any advice?

My family's coverage ended with the layoff and we have a prescription we cannot skip. I worked as a line cook before this. I think my income this year might qualify for a subsidy. What did you choose and how was the process?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
