Health coverage after losing my job: marketplace or Medicaid? - 18 weeks in

My family's coverage ended with the layoff and we have a prescription we cannot skip. I am in Birmingham, in case local advice matters. I do not want a gap in coverage. What did you choose and how was the process?

Call your pharmacy too. Mine knew of a discount card that helped while coverage was being sorted out.
