Got severance, how does it affect benefits?, hotel front-desk agent here

I was offered severance of 4 weeks after being let go as a hotel front-desk agent and I am unsure how it affects benefits. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I have a mortgage and need to plan. How did your state treat it?

I filed on day one anyway and reported the severance honestly. The agency decided what to do about the timing.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
