Got severance, how does it affect benefits? - first time posting

I signed a severance agreement and I am worried about how to report it. It has been a long 12 weeks. I have a mortgage and need to plan. How did your state treat it?

Before signing, I asked a friend who is a lawyer to look at the agreement. It was a short conversation and worth it.
