Got severance, how does it affect benefits? - first time posting

I was offered severance of 9 weeks after being let go as a mechanic and I am unsure how it affects benefits. I worked as a mechanic before this. I have a mortgage and need to plan. How did your state treat it?

Rules differ by state. I called the claims line and asked directly, then wrote down the answer and the date.
