Got severance, how does it affect benefits? - first time posting

I signed a severance agreement and I am worried about how to report it. Any experience at all would help. The agreement mentions a release and a payment schedule. How did your state treat it?

Some states only count certain kinds of severance. A local workforce centre could tell me which.
