Got severance, how does it affect benefits? - any advice?

I was offered severance of 15 weeks after being let go as a customer-service rep and I am unsure how it affects benefits. Thank you in advance. The agreement mentions a release and a payment schedule. How did your state treat it?

Some states only count certain kinds of severance. A local workforce centre could tell me which.
