Got severance, how does it affect benefits? after 4 years as a mechanic

I signed a severance agreement and I am worried about how to report it. Any experience at all would help. The agreement mentions a release and a payment schedule.

Some states only count certain kinds of severance. A local workforce centre could tell me which.
