Got severance, how does it affect benefits? after 16 years as a hotel front-desk agent

I signed a severance agreement and I am worried about how to report it. It has been a long 23 weeks. I have a mortgage and need to plan. How did your state treat it?

I filed on day one anyway and reported the severance honestly. The agency decided what to do about the timing.
