Got severance, how does it affect benefits? after 10 years as an event coordinator

I was offered severance of 10 weeks after being let go as an event coordinator and I am unsure how it affects benefits. Thank you in advance. I also wonder about the job-search requirement.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

I filed on day one anyway and reported the severance honestly. The agency decided what to do about the timing.
