Got a denial letter for unemployment, what now? - 11 months and counting

My claim was denied after 21 weeks of waiting, and the letter says I have a short window to appeal. I worked as a procurement assistant before this. I have not done a hearing before and I am nervous. Should I ask someone for free legal help?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
