First unemployment deposit is late, what should I check? - what worked for you?

I filed my claim 17 weeks ago after being let go as an HR coordinator. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. The page shows my claim as open but no payment date. What would you check first?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
