First unemployment deposit is late, what should I check? - any advice?

I was laid off as an administrative assistant and filed right away, and I have been certifying every week. Any experience at all would help. I called the state line four times and only reached a recording. What would you check first?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
