First unemployment deposit is late, what should I check? after 8 years as a software tester

I applied for unemployment in Sacramento 11 weeks ago and the status page still says pending. This is my first time dealing with any of this. The page shows my claim as open but no payment date. Has anyone been through this? How long did it take in the end?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 5 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
