First unemployment deposit is late, what should I check? after 5 years as a copywriter

I applied for unemployment in Fresno 16 weeks ago and the status page still says pending. I am in Fresno, in case local advice matters. The page shows my claim as open but no payment date. Has anyone been through this? How long did it take in the end?

Mine took about 16 weeks because of an identity check I did not notice. Look for a message or a letter you may have missed in your online account.

When I finally got through, the agent said my employer had responded late. Once that cleared, back pay came in one payment.
