First unemployment deposit is late, what should I check? after 12 years as a paralegal

I applied for unemployment in Chicago 7 weeks ago and the status page still says pending. I worked as a paralegal before this. The page shows my claim as open but no payment date.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 7 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
