Does severance delay my unemployment claim? - what worked for you?

I was offered severance of 10 weeks after being let go as a warehouse supervisor and I am unsure how it affects benefits. I worked as a warehouse supervisor before this. I have a mortgage and need to plan.

I filed on day one anyway and reported the severance honestly. The agency decided what to do about the timing.
