Does severance delay my unemployment claim? - what worked for you?

I was offered severance of 11 weeks after being let go as an operations analyst and I am unsure how it affects benefits. It has been weighing on me all week. I also wonder about the job-search requirement. How did your state treat it?

Some states only count certain kinds of severance. A local workforce centre could tell me which.
