Does severance delay my unemployment claim? - what worked for you?

I was offered severance of 4 weeks after being let go as a delivery driver and I am unsure how it affects benefits. Thank you in advance. I have a mortgage and need to plan. Did you file straight away?

I filed on day one anyway and reported the severance honestly. The agency decided what to do about the timing.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
