Does severance delay my unemployment claim?, school bus driver here

I signed a severance agreement and I am worried about how to report it. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I have a mortgage and need to plan. Who should I ask before signing?

Some states only count certain kinds of severance. A local workforce centre could tell me which.
