Does severance delay my unemployment claim? - first time posting

I signed a severance agreement and I am worried about how to report it. I worked as an event coordinator before this. I also wonder about the job-search requirement. How did your state treat it?

Some states only count certain kinds of severance. A local workforce centre could tell me which.
