Does severance delay my unemployment claim?

I signed a severance agreement and I am worried about how to report it. I do not usually post, so bear with me. The agreement mentions a release and a payment schedule.

Some states only count certain kinds of severance. A local workforce centre could tell me which.

I filed on day one anyway and reported the severance honestly. The agency decided what to do about the timing.
