Does severance delay my unemployment claim? - any advice?

I signed a severance agreement and I am worried about how to report it. It has been a long 2 weeks. I also wonder about the job-search requirement. How did your state treat it?

Rules differ by state. I called the claims line and asked directly, then wrote down the answer and the date.
