Does severance delay my unemployment claim? after 3 years as a social media manager

I was offered severance of 3 weeks after being let go as a social media manager and I am unsure how it affects benefits. I have been trying to stay organised about it. The agreement mentions a release and a payment schedule. How did your state treat it?
