Does severance delay my unemployment claim? - 20 weeks in

I was offered severance of 4 weeks after being let go as an administrative assistant and I am unsure how it affects benefits. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I have a mortgage and need to plan. How did your state treat it?

I filed on day one anyway and reported the severance honestly. The agency decided what to do about the timing.
