Denied unemployment, how do I appeal? - what worked for you?

I was told my separation was for misconduct, which is not what happened. I am in Richmond, in case local advice matters. The letter lists a deadline and a hearing process, but it is hard to follow. Should I ask someone for free legal help?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
