Denied unemployment, how do I appeal? after 18 years as a payroll clerk

I was told my separation was for misconduct, which is not what happened. This is my first time dealing with any of this. The letter lists a deadline and a hearing process, but it is hard to follow. Did you bring documents or only talk?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
