COBRA costs more than my rent, what did you do? - what worked for you?

The COBRA quote for my family is $350 a month and I do not know how to afford it. I do not usually post, so bear with me. My old employer will not help with the premium. Is the decision time really that tight?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

If you have a planned treatment, COBRA can make sense for a few months. Otherwise look at the marketplace first.
