COBRA costs more than my rent, what did you do?

Elif Quintero · 2026-07-23T14:33:09.494Z

I just got my COBRA paperwork and the deadline to decide is close. It has been a long 6 weeks. My old employer will not help with the premium. Did anyone switch mid-year?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
